Hello My Friends,
As you know school has returned and I am a high school teacher. I wanted to teach my students on the art of saving money when shopping both online and in stores. My assignment: Whoever can purchase a 6 pack of Hanes White Socks at the cheapest price would receive extra credit on their grade. This was completely optional, only extra credit could be gained. Out of my 24 students 8 of them came in a week later with a 6 pack of Hanes White Socks. ranging from $5 to $10. I required every student to bring a receipt in proving what they paid for it. The winner was my student Peter who purchased it for $3.99 on clearance at Marshalls. Prices ranged from $3.99 to $9.99. I was surprised at how many students actually went out and bought socks. At least we know my students will have clean socks to wear! Peter will be getting extra credit on one of his finals this year as I feel I taught my students a very valuable lesson. Never pay full price for anything! Every thing can be bought on sale or on clearance. I am very good at finding the best deals online and I will be sharing this experience with you this Black Friday. The king of sale days! I am considering taking my students out on a field trip this Black Friday so they can see all the great sales in person. This would be a optional trip and up to the parents. I fee;l it is important for all my students to know how to save a buck these days since money can be so hard to come by and it is always wise to save money whenever you get so you can be better prepared for what life throws your way.
As always happy shopping and be sure to check back as I share more of my shopping wisdom!
